Dr. Lockie is Cardiologist based in London, UK. He went to University College School in North London and trained in medicine at Edinburgh University. During this time he undertook an intercalated degree in psychology gaining First Class honours. Following graduation, he worked at the Old Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh before moving to London for his specialist cardiology training at St Thomas'. With an interest in ischaemic heart disease and re-perfusion he undertook a PhD at KCL, winning the Young Investigator Prize at SCMR in the United States.
He specialized in advanced stenting and percutaeous coronary interventions (PCI) at the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam for a year and completed his PCI training back at St. Thomas’. In 2013 he was then appointed as a consultant interventional cardiologist at the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Cardiovascular Science at UCL.
